| "Gloucester Sunset" Image size: 12 5/8 inches by 15 7/8 inches with 1" borders for a total size of 14 5/8 by 17 7/8 inches. Printed on archival paper. Painted from a photo on the Gloucester, MA peninsula, this is a timeless waterfront scene that could be from just about any coast in North America. The aged shingle siding with faded and weathered paint where at least the last coat was poorly applied. This could be from anytime in the late 19th century through today. The sunset reflected in the window really was that dramatic. I only had to "clean" some dirt off the window to show the reflection and to replace a small fan in the window with a clear pane of glass. |
